The Gathering Continues
I will be at Dinosaur Caves in Shell Beach this Sunday (5/5/2019) having my photography on display at Art in the Park from 10:00 to 4:00. Come out an join me to learn more about the projects in East Africa that this fundraiser supports.
All proceeds from art purchases go towards projects associated the the non-profit African Millennium Foundation and an NGO in Mozambique known as Reencontro. The fundraising efforts from last year contributed $7,950 when toward an after-school program in the intercity of Maputo know as “Happy Child” and education for Bibiana and Tindi, two girls with Albinism from Tanzania who we are sponsoring in the States on Asylum status due to the mistreatment they experienced back home associated with their albinism.
This year the needs are great as Mozambique has been hit with extreme cyclones and Reencontro’s boarding school and maternity ward projects in Beria we damage and need repair. Plus my long-term goal with these fundraising projects if to build a future orphanage in Mozambique known as “A Nossa Casa” or “A Home for Us.” This project is envisioned to create sustainable futures for children orphaned by the AIDS pandemic in Mozambique. I have chosen specifically to donate proceeds towards the installation of wells and water distribution systems to provide clean drinking water.
